It’s early still but the warmth of my bedroom wakes me once the sun has risen. I roll out of bed and walk into my kitchen, begin making coffee.

While I don’t usually use words like peaceful to refer to Birganj, I must say that last night’s triade of bombings in my hometown came as a surprise. Two of the bombs were at offices to the north of Birganj proper.
